Code of Conduct & Disciplinary Policy



At Top Way, we are dedicated to maintaining a workplace defined by respect, integrity, safety, and excellence. Our aim is to foster a culture where each team member is empowered to thrive, while also upholding our standards of professionalism and ethical responsibility. Every individual at Top Way plays a role in contributing to a productive and positive environment.


By choosing to work at Top Way, you accept the responsibility of adhering to company policies and refraining from behavior that may compromise our values, reputation, or operations. While this document outlines examples of unacceptable behavior, it is not exhaustive. The company reserves the right to address and take corrective action for any behavior it deems inappropriate, whether listed here or not.


Prohibited Conduct


The following actions are strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination:


  1. Possessing, using, distributing, or being under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances during work hours or on company premises.

  2. Falsification or misrepresentation of work hours, records, reports, or any company documentation.

  3. Theft, unauthorized removal, or destruction of company, client, or co-worker property.

  4. Violence, threats, or intimidation toward colleagues, supervisors, clients, or vendors.

  5. Possession of firearms, explosives, or dangerous materials on company property without written authorization.

  6. Disclosure of confidential information, trade secrets, or sensitive data to unauthorized parties.

  7. Harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior based on race, religion, gender, age, disability, or nationality.

  8. Refusal to follow reasonable instructions or job duties assigned by management (insubordination).

  9. Negligence in adhering to safety protocols and reporting workplace hazards.

  10. Failure to report workplace injuries or unsafe conditions.

  11. Excessive unexcused absences or habitual tardiness that disrupts team productivity.

  12. Leaving work without permission or being away from your workstation for extended periods without cause.

  13. Unauthorized overtime work or misreporting of time worked.

  14. Abuse or misuse of company equipment, vehicles, tools, or digital systems.

  15. Unauthorized use of phones, email, or the internet for personal or non-business activities during work hours.

  16. Inappropriate dress or hygiene that does not align with company standards or professional image.

  17. Failure to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  18. Engaging in or encouraging gossip, slander, or rumor-spreading.

  19. Sleeping on the job, or willful neglect of assigned duties.

  20. Failure to cooperate in workplace investigations or providing false information during inquiries.

  21. Participation in workplace horseplay or pranks that could cause injury or disruption.

  22. Receiving or soliciting unauthorized gifts, payments, or gratuities in connection with company business.

  23. Gambling on company property or during working hours.

  24. Disrespectful behavior toward colleagues, management, or clients.

  25. Tampering with, hiding, or destroying official notices, safety signs, or posted instructions.

  26. Use of vulgar, obscene, or abusive language in any workplace communication.

  27. Failure to submit required documentation such as medical certificates or timesheets.

  28. Conflict of interest, including engaging in outside employment that interferes with your duties at Top Way.

  29. Sharing personal login credentials or unauthorized access to restricted systems.

  30. Deliberate misuse of company branding, intellectual property, or assets.

  31. Failure to report known or suspected policy violations committed by others.

  32. Damage to company reputation through off-duty conduct, including on social media or in public.

  33. Intentionally withholding work, causing delays, or obstructing team collaboration.

  34. Using one’s position or company influence for personal gain at the expense of the organization.

  35. Failure to comply with legal or regulatory obligations tied to your role or industry standards.


Disciplinary Procedure


Violation of company policies or conduct standards may result in disciplinary measures including, but not limited to:


  • Verbal or written warnings

  • Suspension with or without pay

  • Role reassignment or demotion

  • Final written warnings

  • Termination of employment


Top Way encourages progressive discipline wherever possible. However, we reserve the right to take immediate and appropriate action based on the severity or frequency of the violation. Employment with Top Way remains at-will, and either party may terminate the relationship at any time for any lawful reason.


Employees will be given the opportunity to respond to any disciplinary action and are encouraged to seek clarification or support from their supervisors or HR.
